In accordance with The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2005, Parliament has raised the maximum compensatory award limit in the Employment Tribunal from £56,800 to £58,400. The statutory maximum of a ‘week’s pay’ used to calculate basic awards in the Employment Tribunal and statutory redundancy payments will also be raised from £280 to £290. Both increases will come into effect from 1 February 2006.
